From NASA to chocolate to ambitious food waste solutions
Contemplating the world’s climate crisis, and the considerable role of food waste, Timothy Childs felt a strong sense of urgency to act on a transformative scale. Perhaps influenced by his background developing solutions for NASA’s Space Shuttle program, he thinks big, envisioning change in terms of moonshots.
“Our moonshot is to radically transform the global food system to be more effective and less damaging for the environment,” he says. “In order to do this, we design, test, and implement end-to-end solutions for each large food waste stream that can be scaled around the world in each market that has that particular food waste stream.”
