Fiona Simson’s election as the first female president of the National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) in 2016 reflects the revolution underway in agricultural science. It has blossomed from a male dominated field to one that now boasts an equal gender balance – putting it ahead of such disciplines as engineering, information technology and architecture.
